Job Summary:

 Reporting to the Senior  Software Engineer the Incumbent develops, tests and maintains software applications, integrations, data processes and dashboards under the guidance of the Senior Software Engineer.

Main Duties:

1. Designs, develops, tests and maintains software applications and features to agreed standards.
2. Fixes defects, delivers enhancements and improves the performance of existing systems.
3. Develops APIs, integrations and data-exchange processes between information systems.
4. Builds dashboards, reports and data visualisations to support monitoring and decision making.
5. Extracts, transforms, validates and migrates data to support reporting, analytics and integration.
6. Writes scripts and automation tools to improve deployment, data processing and operational efficiency.
7. Participates in agile planning, code reviews, testing and release activities, and maintains technical documentation.
8. Provides technical support for production systems and supports user training and knowledge transfer.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Software Engineer.

Qualifications

10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
11. Minimum 1 year of work experience in programming.
12. Strong understanding of database querying and management.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

Object-oriented programming (C#, Java or similar); scripting (e.g. Python); SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL); data visualisation; version control with Git
