Reporting to the Study Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting management of study materials, logistical support, coordination of activities, quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes of the study.

Main Duties:

  • Conducts weekly visits across all five study sites and assist in managing documentation of study materials.
  • Supports training of research assistants.
  • In liaison with the ZAIMARA admintrative assistant, manages logistics for the sites and workshops.
  • Supports with retention of participants across the five (5) study sites.
  • Supervises research assistants across the five study sites.
  • Prepares study reports for weekly and bi-weekly meetings meetings.
  • Provides input to study coordinator on the key implementation challenges and develop solutions.
  • Performs QA/QC monitoring of study processes and acting on discrepancies immediately.
  • Provides input in preparing study-related reports/presentations as requested by the study coordinator.
  • Maintains confidentiality of study data and privacy of participants at all times.
  • Participates in coordinating qualitative data collection activities.
  • Participates in transcribing of audio-recording.
  • Participates in coding of qualitative research data.
  • Participates in analysis of qualitative research data.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities for the successful functioning of the study.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Degree in Social work/Development Studies/ Sociology/Public health or in another relevant area
  • 3 years relevant work experience particularly working with communities
  • Experience with randomized controlled trials (RCT)
  • Experience working on adolescent and mental health studies.
  • Demonstrated experience in HIV/AIDS research
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating data collection activities
  • Demonstrated experience in working with health facilities
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good community and government Ministry relationship skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
