CIDRZ Limited, Trading as VenYou Zambia is a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of CIDRZ the NGO. Its main Strategic Objective is to engage in commercially viable businesses as a means of generating income, ultimately for the parent company. CIDRZ Limited is currently involved in the following business activities:
1. Vehicle Rentals
2. Events and Conference Management
3. Real Estate Development and Facilities Management including Warehousing
4. Sales and Distribution of Solar Hardware and Maintenance of Solar Power Installations
Job summary
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Manager - Solar Sales and Distribution will oversee the development and execution of sales strategies, manage distribution networks, and ensure customer satisfaction in the renewable energy sector. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and partnerships to position the company as a leader in solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution
Participates as a member of Leadership Team in formulating corporate strategies, policies, plans and in monitoring the Organization’s performance to ensure that the corporate mission and goals are achieved
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets for solar products and services.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
Collaborate with marketing department to design and execute promotional campaigns.
Distribution Management
Establish and maintain a robust and efficient distribution network.
Optimize supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of solar products.
Work with logistics teams to manage inventory levels and reduce distribution costs.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales and distribution team.
Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and encourage professional development.
Motivate the team to exceed sales and customer service expectations.
Market Analysis and Innovation
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
Provide insights to guide product development and pricing strategies.
Monitor technological advancements in solar energy to integrate innovative solutions.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in the renewable energy or related industry.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distribution channels.
Strong knowledge of solar products, technologies, and market trends.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
Leadership and team management skills.
Performance Metrics
Achievement of sales revenue and profitability targets.
Expansion and efficiency of distribution networks.
Customer acquisition and retention rates.
Successful implementation of sales strategies and campaigns.
