CIDRZ Limited, Trading as VenYou Zambia is a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of CIDRZ the NGO.  Its main Strategic Objective is to engage in commercially viable businesses as a means of generating income, ultimately for the parent company.  CIDRZ Limited is currently involved in the following business activities:

1. Vehicle Rentals
2. Events and Conference Management
3. Real Estate Development and Facilities Management including Warehousing
4. Sales and Distribution of Solar Hardware and Maintenance of Solar Power Installations

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 

Job summary 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be the driving force behind the strategic direction, operational excellence, and sustained growth of a multifaceted organization engaged in diverse sectors that includes vehicle hire and rental, conferencing, warehousing, events facilities, solar sales and distribution, real estate development, graduate education in public health, and innovation and technology. The CEO will provide visionary leadership, ensuring the alignment of the company’s objectives with its mission and values while delivering shareholder value and encouraging a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develops and implements the company’s long-term strategic plan to achieve sustainable growth across all business units.
  • Identifies and evaluates new business opportunities in emerging markets to diversify revenue streams.
  • Encourages innovation and integrates technological advancements to stay ahead in competitive industries.
Operational Management
  • Oversee the operations of each business unit, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with business heads to set and achieve KPIs, budgets, and performance benchmarks.
  • Drives synergies across the company’s diverse portfolio to maximize resource utilization and profitability. 
  • Convenes monthly meetings with CIDRZ NGO Executive Committee 

Interact with Board of Directors
  • Convenes quarterly meetings
  • Leads preparation of required board documents and convene quarterly meetings
  • Regularly reporting to board
Financial Stewardship
  • Leads the development and execution of financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Presents financial and operational updates to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Cultivates relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure funding and enhance financial stability.
Innovation and Sustainability
  • Champions innovation to integrate cutting-edge technology into operations and service offerings.
  • Drives sustainability initiatives, particularly in solar energy, real estate, and public health education.
  • Leverages data and analytics for informed decision-making across all business units.
Leadership and Team Building
  • Inspires, mentors, and develops a high-performing leadership team. Make second bullet

Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of executive-level experience leading a diversified business portfolio.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth and innovation across multiple industries, including technology, renewable energy, and education.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Provens financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-kwacha budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and drive organizational change.
  • Familiarity with trends and regulations in the key industries of operation.
