Job summary

Matrix report to Communications Manager & Deputy Chief of Party TBLON. The incumbent provides visibility of TBLON work to key Stakeholders through written success stories,
fact sheets, technical briefs, and other communications materials to highlight project successes, challenges, and lessons learned.

Main duties 
  • Ensures weekly submission of project stories to USAID.
  • Supports the development of information, communication and education materials under the TBLON project
  • Provides advice, guidance and support on planning and implementing internal and external communication efforts to strengthen national awareness of TB activities and knowledge and raise the profile and visibility of programme activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for further marketing of programme activities where appropriate and required.
  • Establish and daily management of corporate social media accounts, including production of compelling written and visual content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok as they arise.
  • Daily monitoring of all social media channels for any risks or opportunities.
  • Compiles and analyzes metrics reports and proposes follow-up recommendations to improve content and performance.
  • Supports the preparation and communications coverage of events in the various districts.
  • Oversee and ensures consistent branding of the programme where required while adhering to partner requirements.
  • Works with the provincial health promotion officers to disseminate health messages including TB messages.
  • Collaborates with the communication department to support communication activities for the wider organization as needed.
Qualifications
  • A bachelors degree in mass communications, public relations or a related field
  • A masters degree is an added advantage
  • At least 5 years working experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
