 Job summary:

  Reporting to the Assistant Coordinator – Adolescent HIV prevention, s/he will support the Assistant Coordinator – Adolescent HIV prevention in the day-to-day management and implementation of the Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) program activities targeting boys aged 10-24 years. S/he should be a registered coach with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts and should already have an existing sports academy. S/he will work closely with and support CHEKUP I sub partner Cooper Rose Zambia, the DREAMS District Coordinators and the DREAMS Centre staff working in the respective districts and will ensure coordination with other relevant programs and stakeholders at Community level. S/he will implement and make referrals to other high impact services.

 

Main  Duties: 

 

  1. Mobilize Adolescent boys and young men (ABYM) aged 10-24 for the CBIM program
  2. Enroll eligible ABYM Into the CBIM Intervention
  3. Administer the pre survey Questionnaire to all ABYM enrolled
  4. Conduct weekly CBIM sessions
  5. Administer the post survey Questionnaire
  6. Enter data into the DHIS2 system
  7. Work Closely with the Community HIV staff for HIV prevention services
  8. Refer ABYM for other high impact services to other partners and stakeholders
  9. Work closely with Copper Rose Zambia, DREAMS District Coordinator and DREAMS Centre staff in the implementation of the CBIM program
  10. Ensure that quarterly and annual targets are met
  11. Submit quarterly reports
  1. Document success stories.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of a full Grade 12/ Form V School Certificate
  • Football Coach with an existing football academy/club
  • Registered with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Art as a Coach
  • At least 2 years of working as a Coach at community level
  • Experience in the use of sports in HIV prevention and fight against sexual and gender-based violence
  • Good oral and written English
  • Based in the implementation district with working knowledge of the local language
